With Daltec feeding systems and controls, you get both gentle and efficient transport of fish feed, with low energy consumption and extremely quiet operation. We can also program the control systems, allowing you to work with individual allocations of multiple feed types.
CUSTOMIZED FEEDING SYSTEMS
At Daltec, we have spent more than 15 years developing and manufacturing feeding systems specifically designed for fish farming. Our fish feeding systems are based on more than 40 years of experience in feeding and feed transport in agriculture, combined with the specific requirements of the aquaculture industry.
Daltec systems transport the feed using a wire-based conveying system. This type of feed transport is more gentle on the feed pellets than many other methods. At the same time, you get a system that is extremely quiet, highly energy-efficient, and produces almost no dust.
At Daltec, we develop and program our own control systems, which send signals to the Daltec feed valves to ensure that the fish receive the planned feed rations — neither more nor less.
Efficient, gentle and reliable
Daltec develops and manufactures complete feeding systems and control systems for the AQUA industry. Our feed transport system is developed with a special focus on gentle and precise feed handling all the way from the silos to the feeding units and has been continuously refined for more than 20 years to meet the conditions and environment that prevail in the aquaculture industry.
Daltec systems handle feed from the moment it arrives and is filled into silos until it is distributed to the individual departments and fish tanks. The systems can be sectioned so that one main system supplies other systems with feed. We use this to reduce the distance between the silos and the individual feeding points. This increases capacity and reduces the amount of broken pellets and the formation of breakage and dust.
Daltec AQUA systems are built on proprietary and well-proven components, where the focus is operational reliability and low service costs. As part of the control concept, we have integrated Daltec Service Watch, which continuously estimates when it is time for the next scheduled service and thereby also reduces the risk of operational downtime.

Gentle feed transport with Daltec cable and Daltec friction drive
The Daltec cable provides gentle transport of pelleted feed. It significantly reduces breakage and dust, improving feed utilization and reducing buildup inside pipes. This improves hygiene and reduces wear since a disced cable or chain is not forced through pipes with internal deposits of dirt.
Both cable and chain systems can be fitted with click-on brushes to optimize hygiene and operation.
All Daltec drive units are equipped with a friction-drive wheel. This unique principle transfers power reliably by distributing traction across all discs in contact with the drive wheel. The method provides a gentle, yet powerful drive with low energy consumption.
Electronic Daltec feed valve
The Multimix valves are one of the important key components in a Daltec feeding system. The valves have several functions. They monitor the content in the feeder and notify the system when refilling is required. They then open and close automatically so that the feed for the respective feeder is delivered correctly, or feed for other feeders can pass without obstruction.
The risk of dust and breakage is minimal because the pipe is not extended through the valve. The smooth swivel damper ensures pellets meet no edges while passing a closed valve.
In themselves, the Daltec valves are also small computers, each communicating with the system’s main control. This means that the valve continuously sends important information back to the control system. In addition to monitoring that there is feed in the feeder, the valves also monitor themselves – for example if a sensor should show a fault, or if the built-in motor develops an error.
Daltec Feed Assistant Online+
Daltec Feed Assistant Online+ is the central control of the feeding system. Via a network and sensors in the individual feed containers, it ensures that fresh feed is delivered to the locations and that the feed plan is followed. The control system can be operated either via the built-in display and menu system in the controller or connected to a PC with Daltec System Manager.
DAC controller
The DAC control unit can operate up to two feeders. The display shows active pulse/pause times. The keypad allows ad hoc appetite tests and calibration of dosing capacity.
Management with Daltec DSM Fish
Operational reliability and clarity are important factors when controlling a feeding system. The daily operation of a Daltec system can be managed and monitored via the simple and clear PC user interface known as Daltec System Manager. Here it is possible to set everything from feed profiles to quantities and feed types.
From the user interface, all data is automatically sent to the central feed control. It then handles the electrical control, coordination and monitoring of all components in the system. At the same time as controlling the feeding system, Daltec DSM also provides an overview of the technical operation and collects historical data related to feeding.
Daltec develops its own software and can adapt it to individual conditions and requirements.
With Daltec DSM Mobile feeding can be monitored and adjusted via your smartphone
Daltec DSM Mobile is an app that functions as remote access to Daltec’s sensor-controlled dry feeding systems with portion feeding. Alarms for possible operational disturbances are clearly displayed. To enable users to plan the necessary actions as efficiently as possible, the alarms are described in text. It is possible both to clear alarms and to restart the system. Older Daltec portion feeding systems can
Sectioned systems protect the feed and increases the capacity
By dividing the system’s feed lines into smaller interconnected circuits, significantly reduced distances between silo and feed valve are achieved. This is done by directing the feed quickly via branches and feed valves to the departments where it is needed.
The shorter distances through the feed pipes protect the feed and reduce the risk of crushing and feed dust. At the same time, this gives the system higher capacity and fewer operating hours.
A feed transport solution adapted to your local requirements
In a typical AQUA system, a Daltec 1001 control unit is used together with a control box equipped with a rotary switch to open the valves above a specific silo. The system is used to empty “big bags” into the feed silos.
We also supply the actual feeding system, which collects feed from beneath the large silos and distributes it to the individual feeders at the fish tanks. The system is controlled by a Daltec FAO+, which can be connected to a PC with DSM-Fish software and, if required, a mobile app.
From Silo to Feeder
Daltec can supply a complete solution for transporting feed from the silo until it is delivered to the desired feeder.
Daltec feed intake with seamless passage
Daltec’s intake hoppers are specially designed for handling feed pellets. The seamless passage minimizes breakage and dust. The 24 VDC intake hoppers are electronically controlled regarding dosing and start/stop. The intake is electronically monitored and alarms appear in DSM.
